BIOMETRICS

Biometrics involves the identification or verification of identity through use of some personal feature or characteristic such as fingerprint or voice. A biometric system consists of a sensor, a system to provide feature analysis, storage for biometric information, and a decision function. Biometrics serve best when it is considered to be part of an overall identity management function.
