Type: Granite Monument Description: Twenty foot high monument, costing $200, paid for by subscription raised under the direction of the U. S. Grant post No. 201, Department of Kansas, G. A. R. On the east side is this inscription: "In Memory Of The ~ Soldiers And Sailors ~ Of ~ 1861 To 1866. " On the west side: "Grand Army Of The Republic, 1861, Veterans 1866. Dedicated ~ By The ~ U. S. Grant Post, No. 20 ~ May 30, 1898".
